Teacher Appreciation Week

DON'T MISS MY AWESOME GIVEAWAY THIS WEEK!!! ONE LUCKY WINNER WILL GET A CUSTOM EMBROIDERED BANNER OF THEIR CHOICE! HOP ON OVER TO THE ORIGINAL POST AND CHECK IT OUT HERE.
So last week was TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK. If anyone remembers what we did last year (you can see that post here) I knew I had to do something comparable but wanted different too. PLUS, I also wanted to include our BUS DRIVER of 6+ years because we ABSOLUTELY LOVE HER!!
AND HERE IS WHAT WE MADE...
Hmmm, guess I forgot to take a pic of Monday's Gift. We made little "ROCK" Star brooches.
Thanks to Happy Hour Projects I not only learned how to make these AWESOME BRACELETS but she also provided the FREE PRINTABLE!! FABULOUS!!

Icky Picky on the pic but whatevs...I made each one a "personalized" MAGIC WAND!
With the Free Embroidery Design I was Allowed to test I made these sweet little wristlets!

AND Thanks to Handmade Hilani's FABULOUS creations I was totally inspired to create my own little coffee cozy! I was able to get Starbucks to give me the cups for free! I added a little tissue paper and gift card on the inside. I loved them so much I made myself one!
What do you think?

Did I show you all this already??

You know before my trip I really was not a fan of baseball. So, I went into my trip thinking that if I had to sit and watch baseball (and be miserable) then I might as well be looking cute!! Little did I know I would come to LOVE baseball over my 6 days but I did. However, I also looked SUPER cute doing it!! Here are some of the things I made/embellished for my trip to Arizona. Baseball Angle
I love this one! I bought the iron-on wings at a craft store and was SUPER skeptical that it would work but I LOVE the way it turned out. I made the baseball my self.
Flower V-neck in Kansas City Royals Blue
I used Embroidery Garden’s Frayed Flower design to make all the little flowers on a white knit that I had left over from a previous project. Then I cute each one out and attached to the shirt with my sewing machine. This certainly was a labor of love and was FEATURED in Embroidery Garden’s Newsletter!! Pretty Sweet!!!
b kansas city royals bling
Kansas City Royals BLING T-Shirt!! I made the pattern myself. I think it is a little crooked but hey I am human and make mistakes. Plus making your own bling pattern…not as easy as one would think.
baseball queen
BASEBALL QUEEN Bling Tee!
baseball bling tee
Obviously, I wore this one before I took the pic! And leave it to me to stain up a white shirt like a baby! I spilled coffee on this before I actually had the coffee in my hand. Please tell me how that happens. Then I spilled salsa all over it. I tried to TIDE-To-GO the spots but it only made them worse…EMBARRASSED!!!
3-13 cell 670
I LOVE BASEBALL Bling Tee! LOVE THIS ONE!! (Okay, I love them all!)
KC Royals Necklace
KC Royals Necklace Tattoo
My bestie had her bday a couple of days before we let for our trip so I made her this necklace. To get the KC Royals on the pendant. I used a tattoo and 3D Glaze. It turned out soooooo well!!!
I also made her this little monogramed flower for her bag. I thought it was/is super cute!
Bag Bloom
Bag Bloom 2
So what do you think? Were we cute or what?? I thought we looked great!!! However, after our first game on Sunday (and SPF 50) I looked like this…Very LOBSTER like! No joke about the SPF 50 either.

Favorite Book Jewelry

Did you all see this tutorial? OMGosh super cute! SO, I was inspired to make a few little jewelry items for my princess to go with her 1st day of school outfit.
I am not sure what the tutorial says exactly, well because you know me and I did not read it but I used wooden games pieces I had left over from making a match game.
I found an image online and resized it using word (I am stinky with a computer), used my paper punch and then mod podged it to the wooden circle. Filed off the over hang. Diamond glazed the top.
Added some cutie embellishments from my friends at  SNOW6154
Add a glue on bail and ball chain!
And glued this one to a cheap-o adjustable ring base I have laying around.
Not too bad, right?
What do you think?
I will post pics of her and all her handmade fanciness soon!
HUGS~

Upcycled Earrings Toot (Tutorial)

*Be sure to check the 100 Followers Page Tab at the top of the page for ALL the winners this week!*

HAPPY TUESDAY, MY WONDERFUL FRIENDS!
Well, last week I went on a shopping spree on etsy.com buying up a ton of supplies to make some handmade goodness for the upcoming craft show. One of the items I bought:
Private Reserved Listing for glAMERICA
I bought over 1,000 of these cute little boogers!
The seller was a dream to work with! SNOW6154 bead, crystals, and more. They have a ton of wonderful items including my little flowers. They also have tons of cabs and findings. Not only were they quick to reply to ALL of my inquiries but they were so unbelievably nice. BUT here is the best part...they are from MISSOURI!! Awww, I love buying "local!" Please go check them out and let tell them I sent you. Plus, right now they are running a special with 20%off  just use the code 20PERCENTOFF during check out. If you cannot find anything for yourself, no problem just pick anything and HAVE IT SENT TO ME! LOL, JK !! Okay, maybe a little. *I was in no way compensated for referring you to this shop. I am mentioning it because I bought a TON of stuff from different etsy sellers and this was one of the best experiences! SO, I just wanted to show them some love!!
Anywhooooo, it got me thinking about how in the world they make these aluminum flowers. So, I googled it. And came up empty-handed but I found this tutorial on how to make aluminum flower out of recycled soda cans! You can see the full tutorial here, on Sherri's blog.  (BTW for all you paper crafters out there Sherri's blog Bits and Pieces of Me has a plethora of ideas and inspiration!)

But this is how I did mine:
Supplies Needed:
Soda Can (clean and empty, come on it is not MONDAY anymore)
Scissors/The utility kind (I will not even tell you what I used, okay twist my arm...a huge knife)
Super Glue (however I think there must be a better glue to use, suggestions?)
Toothpick
Acrylic Gems
Earring Blanks
Styrofoam Block
Foil covered cutting block (don't ask you already know I am crazy)
Here is my tutorial:
See a knife and a soda can. NO COMMENTS ABOUT MY OLD NASTY BAKE WARE PLEASE. NOT TO WORRY-WE NEVER BAKE. ASK MY GOOD FRIEND JENN @ ROOK NO. 17, I bur water. Ugh, my poor family.

Stab the can (it helps relieve stress) and carefully cut
the top off like this...

BE VERY CAREFUL THE EDGES HERE ARE SHARP.
I am sure there are better tools to use but I don't have them and
I am super cheap and I HAVE THE PATIENCE OF A FLEA
so I had to try it.
Cut down the side of the can and around the bottom
to create a metal sheet like this...
I also cut off the sharp jagged edges.
Get your punch and PUNCH...
See how easy that was!
It makes a pretty pattern in the can too!
Now just bend your pieces how you would like, super
glue them all together the way you want, and add a little
bling if you wanna!
Attach to earring post and TA-DAAAA you are finished!
I have already had 2 custom orders for these! SWEET!
I WOULD LIKE TO STRESS THAT I MADE THESE EARRINGS USING THE DUMBEST AND MOST UNSAFE WAY POSSIBLE! THIS TOOT IS JUST FOR GUIDELINES AND TO SHOW YOU HOW EASY THESE UP-CYCLED EARRINGS ARE TO MAKE! IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW THIS TOOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE PATIENCE OF A FLEA, JUST LIKE ME, THEN
PLEASE USE CAUTION AND BE VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL!! I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOU CUT OFF YOUR FINGER. SO DON'T DO THAT!
Did you all know that I have had 2 custom order in the last week? Wanna see what I made my lovely customers?
Order No. 1 for a birthday Girl~
Headband #1
Headband #2
Custom Tutu like the one I posted previously but added more "grass."
ORDER No. 2~ Little Miss Alabama - BAMA Hair Flair! It turned out so great!!

I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A TERRIFIC TUESDAY!
HUGS~
