Want to make your own tutus??

Well, here is the easiest tutu to make EVER!

Supplies needed:

3 rolls of tulle (any colors but mine are red, white, and blue)

Scissors

Tape Measure

Elastic Headband

Get your tulle ready. 

Measure out 24 inch strips of tulle. I just cut the entire roll. It is easier. Plus, I only measure 1 strip and then use that stip to eye ball the rest of the cut pieces and make a nice neat stack. SAVES time

and frustrattion. 

Here is the headband I used. I bought a 3 pack at the Dollar store. Most people use the crocheted headbands but I did not have any and this one worked like a dream!!! 

For the "FLAG" tutu I used every other "hole".

Slip a strip of tulle through the first hole, folding in half so that the ends are even. 

Tie off like you are making a regular knot but there is NO need to tie it off twice. Once does the trick! 

NOW, grab another piece of tulle in the same color and 

tie off with a second piece of tulle through the same hole but this time on the top.

One simple tie again! SO SIMPLE! and QUICK!!

NOW we are going to skip a hole.

JUST LIKE THIS!

Continue with what ever pattern you chose and complete every other hole using the same method to tie off the tulle as we just did.

Variation for the Teal, Red, and White tutu: Use EVERY hole alternating colors. When you finish the tutu trim the top layer about 2 inches shorter than the bottom.

THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO!

HOW FREAKING EASY??

Now, I will admit this is not my usual method for making tutus but it is so easy and it also makes the tutu adjustable. Seriously, this is a baby headband that stretched all the way aroung Melanie and shrinks back up to teeny-tiny size!

Pretty Amazing, huh?

AND best of all, you will be finished with your tutu in about an hour.
